I'm Moving!

I have about a million different user names/persona's online and I'm getting sick of trying to remember all of them, so in an effort to condense them all down to one, I'm moving my blog to here. I could go with another blog site, like word press, but honestly, I'm lazy, and I already know how blogspot/blogger works.

You haven't lived until...

...you've checked out guys with a gay man. xD

So, I'm sitting in a busy walk-way of my university library with a small group of my friends from my theatre class: 3 girls and one gay guy.
Apparently, they come here every Monday for about two hours before our class, and watch all the young, attractive guys walk past.

It's a little strange to be sitting there, having a conversation which is frequently interrupted with "Omg, blue shirt. BLUE SHIRT" followed by silence as we try to turn our heads to see "blue shirt" without him noticing that four or five people are staring at him.
At one point, resident gay guy utters the phrase "I wonder how many STD's my eyes have, they're so slutty. I have such slutty eyes."

I think the funniest thing is, none of the girls would have noticed most of the attractive guys walking past if resident gay guy hadn't pointed them out.

On relationships and such...

It's time I came clean, so I'm trusting you not to laugh (or to laugh and accept it anyway)

Since January I have been 1/4 of a Harry Potter related youtube channel.....yes, that's right. Things you didn't know about me, blog.

Anyway, for those of you who are interested in reading the rest of this blog, and do not know how a collaboration channel works:

There are four of us. We are (or were) strangers. We all like Harry Potter a bit too much. We all spend way too much time on youtube and enjoy video blogging. We each have to make and upload one video per week, on our specified day. We each represent one of the four Hogwarts houses and earn house points for various things in our videos. Yes....I'm gonna go ahead and let you digest this for a minute...

It sounds weird and lame, I know, but its strange how quickly communities can be forged and relationships created over the internet. The great thing about connecting with strangers through youtube is that you CAN see who you're taking to on the other end. The three girls I speak to on a weekly basis live on the other side of the world (two in the USA and one in the UK) and sometimes I feel as if I know them, and many other people I've met through youtube better than most of the people I spent five years of highschool with, and called my friends. I don't know whether this says more about me or my friends

As most of the people who read this blog are my friends from highschool, this confession is a little embarrassing. Maybe they feel that they don't really know me either. I don't exactly like to tell people every little detail of my life (despite how this blog might seem sometimes) and in many cases my relationships with my friends seem to be entirely based upon jokes and sexual innuendo. It's impossible to really know someone if your relationship ends there. I guess my point is that there are so few people in this world that I feel I really connect with and most of these people I have met through youtube. If I feel I can connect with someone on the other side of the world through a four or five minute video once a week and a read of their blog more than I've connected with people I saw everyday for five years....well then, either there's something very wrong with me, or I need new friends.

Sorry for writing a novel and getting so serious, I really did not intend to. If you care here's the youtube channel I belong to: The Potter Project
Oh, and a video that made me proud to be a nerd: Tik Tok (Ke$ha) parody - Nerd by Travi$

Wow, its been a while...

And for that I apologize, but this blog post will take a different path to most of my others. I am being made more and more aware everyday off all the little things in life that make me happy or make my life great, and I'd really like to put a few of them down in writing to look back on when things start to majorly suck. So, read it or not. Up to you.

20 things I am very thankful for:
My good health
My family (although often we do not get along, I love them anyway)
My education
Being able to go to the University of my choice
Being able to study anything I've ever dreamed of
Those stupid little TV sitcoms that I have become obsessed with. They make me happy.
Living in a world that allows you to actually communicate with your idols
Living in a world that makes it so easy to express yourself in so many ways
The hours of entertainment I get from Youtube
The friends I have made
The friends I am making
The friends I will make
The opportunity to travel pretty much anywhere
Having a job (even if it doesn't really make me happy): MONIES
Music. I have no idea how I would live without it.
What ability/talent I have at guitar/ukulele/singing/acting/writing
The awesome food I am fortunate enough to have tasted
The awesome food I have learned to make or will learn to make
Knowing who I am and being very much at ease with that. Many people are not so fortunate
The way the seasons slowly start to change and the way you have to look closely to see it happen

I promise I'm not going to neglect you for quite as long this time, blog!
